About Me

Hi — I’m James Ostheimer, PhD, a data, AI, and technology leader with a
passion for transforming complex problems into practical, high-impact
solutions. Over the past two decades, I’ve built and led high-performing data
science and AI/ML teams across biotech, healthcare, security, and enterprise
technology, helping organizations turn data into decisions and innovation
into action.


I specialize in architecting AI-powered platforms, predictive analytics
systems, and cloud-native data infrastructures that drive measurable
business outcomes — from accelerating drug discovery and improving clinical
operations to optimizing threat detection and operational efficiency.


Whether acting as an interim CTO, advisor to early-stage startups, or leading
enterprise data strategy, I focus on aligning cutting-edge technology with
real-world business goals.


In my consulting practice, FactorialWise, I’ve guided clients through AI/ML
adoption, cloud data strategy, and the development of scalable, responsible
AI solutions. I’m deeply experienced with LLMs, machine learning, and
enterprise AI applications — with hands-on technical expertise in Python,
AWS, and modern AI toolkits.
